Driver hits more than 30 people on foot in "purposeful" act

A driver furrowed into a walkway a few times at the Las Vegas Strip, harming more than 30 people on foot in what powers portrayed as a "purposeful" demonstration.

No less than one individual was killed and 37 others harmed close to the Paris Las Vegas inn Sunday night, powers said.

The driver is in care, and experiencing tests for liquor and controlled substances. A 3-year-old tyke in the auto with her was unharmed.

"This was not a demonstration of terrorism," Deputy Police Chief Brett Zimmerman said

Kenya tests gadget which constrained plane to arrive

MOMBASA, Kenya: Kenyan powers are examining the way of a suspect gadget found in a latrine on board an Air France flight from Mauritius that made a crisis arrival at Kenya's port city of Mombasa, its inside priest said on Sunday.

Joseph Nkaissery told columnists at Mombasa's Moi International Airport that Kenyan powers were working with their French and Mauritian partners to decide the way of the gadget.

He said that an undisclosed number of travelers who were on board the flight were being addressed about the suspect gadget, yet did not say in the event that they will be taken into custody for further judgment.

"We are in contact with Mauritius to know how security screening of travelers was finished. A couple of travelers are being grilled," he said.

Police Inspector General Joseph Boinnet said on his Twitter account that the Boeing 777 air ship made a beeline for Paris with 459 travelers and 14 group, was securely cleared after it arrived at the airplane terminal at 12:37 a.m. on Sunday (2137 GMT Saturday).

"Bomb specialists from the Navy and DCI (Directorate of Criminal Investigations) have recovered the gadget and are figuring out if the parts contained explosives," Boinnet said.

Air France said in an announcement that as a safety measure, all travelers were emptied from the flying machine by its crisis slides.

"They are (being) dealt with by Mombasa's airplane terminal ground staff and will be obliged. An examination is being driven by the powers to distinguish the wellspring of the danger," it said.

The carrier said it was attempting to re-course is travelers and was sending another plane to Mombasa to fly them to Paris.
